GASTRO-SOOTHE is nature's answer to all of the synthetic antacids available today. GASTRO-SOOTHE neutralizes excess acid and gas production and reduces stomach and intestinal irritation. This formula helps to prevent and heal stomach and intestinal inflammation, intestinal permeability, ulcers and aids digestion. A major problem with the synthetic antacids, i.e., Maalox, Mylanta, Rolaids, Prilosec, Pepcid, Tagamet, Zantac, etc., is that they completely stop stomach acid (HCL) production. Your body needs HCL to breakdown and digest proteins. Synthetic antacids also cause a deficiency of Vitamins B12 and Folic Acid, Vitamin D, Calcium, Iron, and Zinc. Many of them also contain aluminum and they interfere with the liver's ability to detoxify poisons that we are exposed to everyday. If these products are used on an ongoing basis they can have serious consequences. They can even be part of the cause of a premalignant condition associated with an increased risk of a form of esophageal cancer known as Barrett's Esophagus.
